Claudette Castonguay

Born in Quebec in 1949, Claudette Castonguay has been pursuing art for close to 40 years. A self-taught painter, she has exhibited her painting across Canada regularly since 1979. In 1984 she retired from teaching to devote her time exclusively to her professional painting career.
In her paintings, Claudette pictures the individuality of characters, portraying them with spontaneity, sensitivity and humour. The bright colours of the seasons are represented in her playful beach scenes, flowers and vibrant still lifes.
