Jan Delikat favours a monochrome expression and has brought the mastery of hues and tones to the upper levels of refinement. His themes drift from urban landscape to still life unless he lets himself be inspired by someone or a moment; then, a portrait or a street scene may emerge.
Through his mosaic of fine brush strokes, you feel as if you were invited to share his intimacy, often revealed in settings of light and shadows. This inner world of his is a fluid sequence of frames gently deposited on canvas.
