Born in Sherbrooke, Quebec in February 1955.
Céline Gendron works with traditional painting techniques in a contemporary environment.
Focusing on non-figurative languages, the artist joins drawing and painting. The surface on her canvases is occupied by spaces of silence, rest and possible travels in intimate depths.
“It is nice to sometimes feel elsewhere, over there, beyond … in a state of floatation; to reach certain passages in folding and spreading movement. It is nice to sometimes feel togetherness, in the presence of oneself and the world.”
