Lancelot, Michel

Born March 5th, 1945 in France. Lives in Quebec since 1967.

Far from traditional engraving, the art of Michel Lancelot is more of a monotype that combines, amongst other techniques, etching, dry-point, collages and ink. His creations not only permit us to travel into an imaginary world where the characters float in an unreal absolute universe, but are also revealing of the artist’s mastery and technique.
