Having traveled most of the world Ron settled in the Boreal region on Lake Superior’s north shore in the late 1970’s and has been producing images of the area and capturing moments in peoples lives ever since. Ron began developing his own style and interpretation of the north shore in watercolour, acrylics, and oils. Bold strokes and colours dominate works which often lean towards impressionistic. An interest in figure work and life drawing led Ron to capture the human figure in mixed media with bold lines and sensitive washes.
Ron has exhibited in various formats across Canada and his work is displayed in homes across North America. He displays his work in small galleries which fit the landscapes and people he typically interprets.
